Authorized users are permitted online access to those issues for which the subscribing institution or individual holds or held valid subscriptions with Tobacco Regulatory Science Group, the publisher. These authorized users may download, save, or print text, or other information for private use or research.

Authorized users are employees, faculty, staff and students who are officially affiliated with the subscribing institution, individual users who have the appropriate subscriptions to Tobacco Regulatory Science, and users who have paid access through the pay per view facility. Public access may also be provided from designated terminals within the subscribing institutions IP range. Authorized users may include persons affiliated with remote sites or campuses of the subscribing institution that are administered from the subscribing institution’s site or campus, but not persons affiliated with remote sites or campuses that have a separate administrative staff.

Regarding distance education, students need to use their university identification numbers in order to go through the university’s proxy server. Should students not enroll or graduate, they should be removed from having access. At no time should alumni be allowed to access via a proxy server.

The subscribing institution is responsible for notifying and updating its IP address and proxy server details within that IP address in order that its authorized users may have access to Tobacco Regulatory Science and will use its best endeavors to prevent unauthorized use, including making all reasonable efforts to inform authorized users of these guidelines.

Concerning consortia and institutions with multiple sites require a multi-site license. Multi-sites include organizations located in more than one city or which have multiple locations in the same city administered independently. We offer multi-site custom pricing for such situations.

License may fulfill interlibrary loan requests in accord with Section 108 of the United States Copyright Law (17 USC Sec. 108, “Limitations on exclusive rights: Reproduction by libraries and archives”) and clause 3 of the Guidelines for Proviso of Subsection 108(g)(2) prepared by the National Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works.

Authorized users may not alter, recompile, copy, resell, redistribute, publish or re-publish, place at a Website, systematically download, operate a bureau service or print-for-fee service for distribution to unauthorized users the content or any part thereof without explicit permission of Tobacco Regulatory Science Group, the copyright holder.

Unless otherwise specified, Tobacco Regulatory Science Group holds all rights, including copyright of Tobacco Regulatory Science, and maintains these rights under all circumstances. However, should author select the Open Access Option, all rights revert to author(s). Tobacco Regulatory Science Group reserves the right to withdraw any of Tobacco Regulatory Science or any part of the journal in order to comply with any legal rule or court order, or if Tobacco Regulatory Science Group is at risk of liability from the continued availability of the journal or part of it. IngentaConnect will use all reasonable endeavors to ensure that the journals are available to the subscribing institution at all times, and to restore access as soon as possible in the event of an interruption. If or when a subscription lapses, perpetual access will be allowed for only the issues that have been purchased by the institution.
